Language Arts

Continue to review all the uppercase letters from A to Z and work on the lowercase letters “l - z.” Recognize and identify the beginning sounds of these letters as well as tracing and writing them in proper posture. Continue with our reading stories and poems regularly and talk about the main idea/teaching of the story. Test: May 16

Math

Move onto the numbers 36-50. Students will learn to identify, write, and count sets objects for whole numbers 36-50. We will keep doing the oral counting up to 100 as well as start counting by 10. We will keep exploring the days, months, and numbers through calendar activities. This month, Students will be introduced to “The American Currency”..
Test: May 17

Science

Learn about various concepts like “Above & Below, Big & Small, and Far & Near” through different class room activities such as rhymes, poems, story books, classroom projects, and class discussions.
Test: May 18

Social Studies

We will review all the concepts that were covered previously.

Tajweed

Surah Al-Naas.
Test: May 19

Aqaaid

Continue to revise first, second, and third kalimahs in Arabic along with their Urdu and English translations. Test: May 16

Akhlaq/Adaab

We will revise and practice all five lessons of the Islamic Studies book. Test: May 17

Ahadeeth

Students have already memorized all 10 hadeeths. We will revise them regularly. Test: May 20

Dua

Alhamdulillah, Students also have memorized all the duas of the Islamic Studies book. We will revise them on a regular basis.

Our Classroom and Projects

Children made their own airplanes with simple instruction from the teacher and
flew them up in the air all together.
It was a lot of fun.
Over the Spring Break, children designed and built their bird nests with the help of their parents. They did an excellent job and had a lot of fun.

Spring, Clouds, Rain and Life
Children used plates, paints and scissors to make their own Sun, Moon and the Stars. Students enjoyed making clouds, drops of rain and grass by fingerpainting and showed how the Spring is.

This is our lovely classroom. Children had so much fun making their boxes with scissors, glues and crayons.

I pray this letter reaches you in the best of health and highest of Imaan (Ameen). Firstly, I would like to say Ramadan Mubarak on behalf of our Guidance Education Academy staff. We pray that this month is filled with happiness for you and your families (Ameen). We are very grateful and pleased that you have chosen Guidance Educational Academy as the learning institution for your child. I will do my best to ensure your child achieves and exceeds the set goals that are in our curriculum.

Alhumduhlillah, I am very excited about the starting of a new school year and am looking forward to be working with your child. This year the Preschool class has a lot of interesting and fun concepts that will be covered. Insha Allah, we will be covering the following subjects: Language Arts, Reading, Math, Science, and Social Studies. We will also be covering five subjects of Islamic Studies: Tajweed, Aqaaid, Hadeeth, Dua and Akhlaaq wal Adaab this year. I will work to my best ability to make our classroom a safe and fun learning environment for the students. It is a privilege to work with you and share in the growth and development of your child. I take my role and responsibility in your child’s life very seriously and welcome your feedback in order to help strengthen and refine our program.
