Pre-school Newsletter: Dec. 2012
Assalaamualaikum! Here is an overview of what we will be covering during the month of December, 2012, in our wonderful Preschool classroom.
Our theme of the month is Winter and Dental Health. Various age appropriate activities related to the theme will be carried out throughout the month to emphasize the meaning and concepts of the theme.
In Reading, we will begin working on letters “N to T”. We will be going over color recognition. Students will be recognizing and writing alphabets. We will work on developing vocabulary through listening and speaking. We will work on recognizing beginning sounds for N to T. We will begin on writing our first name.
Test on letters “N to T”, following oral directions, and oral test on color recognition will be taken 12/21/2012
In Math, we will be going over shapes recognition and, the following concept “Tall and Short “and, Opposites. We will be working on numbers 21 to 26. Students will work on recognizing and writing numbers 21 to 26. We will be counting sets of objects for numbers 21 to 26.
Test on Numbers 21 to 26, and Concepts will be on 12/19/2012
In Science, we will be talking about winter, what happens in winter, and how to dress up for winter. We will also be talking about Dental Health, and how we should keep our teeth strong and clean.
Written and Oral Test on these concepts will be taken on 12/20/2012
In Social Studies, we will begin identifying the difference between wants and needs .We will also be talking about how to respect your elders.
Oral and written Test on these topics will be given on 12/18//2012
In Tajweed, Insha Allah we will be covering Surah Al-Kafiroon
And in Rules we will be covering Letters: ض ص ش س
Test on Surah Al Kafiroon will be on 12/17/2012
In Aqaaid, Insha Allah we will be memorizing Second Kalimah in Arabic.
Test for Second Kalimah in Arabic 12/20/2012
In Ahadith - InshAllah we will be memorizing Ahadith # 4 with Translation.
Test for Ahadith will be taken on 12/21/2012
In Akhlaaq/Aadaab, Insha Allah we will be covering Lesson # 3 “How to eat”
Test for Akhlaaq/Aadaab on “will be taken on 12/13/2012
In Dua, Insha Allah we will be memorizing “Before Eating”
Test for Dua will be taken on 12/14/2012
Insha Allah, I plan on covering each of these topics using fun and interesting tools, and techniques for the students, hoping the students not only learn, but have fun while learning. By working together we can ensure a positive and successful learning experience for your child.
Welcome to Pre-School
Assalamualaikum,
Hope all my pre-school families are doing well inshallah. Preschool students have very fun and a learning year ahead of them. I am very excited about the opportunity to get to know you in the academic year of 2012-13. I would like to introduce myself before we go any further.
My name is Anum Umrani and I will be your child’s home room teacher for the 2012-13 school year. This will be my first year at Guidance Education Academy. I consider myself very fortunate to be among such a professional faculties.
Teaching is a big responsibility with the baggage of lot of fun. I am praying to Allah SWT to help me achieve my duties throughout the year (Ameen). I cannot fulfill my duties without the help of parents and students. I would like to request to all the parents to encourage their kids to be regular in school and try to make this year a full of learning and educational.. You will be updated about the curriculum and activities of school through newsletters every month inshallah.
