Assalamualikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu! Hope you all are in the best state of health and Imaan, Ameen.

Language Arts: Last month we have covered alphabets Tt,Uu,&Vv in upper and lower case. This month Insha Allah, we will be doing alphabets Ww,Xx,Yy&Zz. I am very excited that we are finishing the alphabets and so are the kids!  Along with that, the kids will be writing their first and last names, the months of the year, and the days of the week. We have already started this and it was sent in last week’s Friday folder, on manuscript paper, that the kids handwriting will have a big influence and that their handwriting will get much neater.

• The Test on Letters Ww, Xx, Yy, Zz will be taken on March 19th, 2012

Math: Last month, we learned the numbers 60-70 and about money. We also learned about telling the difference between pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters and how each one looks like and how much they are worth. This month we will be covering the numbers 70-100 and doing one-digit addition. After we have done the numbers 70-100 our goal will be to take the numbers up to 200, InshAllah.

• The Test on Numbers 1-100  will be taken on March 20th, 2012.

               
Concepts: Last month’s concept was graphing. This month, we will be doing different kinds of concepts which include dots, mazes, number lines, counting and comparing.

• The Test on Concepts will be taken on March 21st, 2012.  

Theme: Last month’s theme was living and non living things. Children had a wonderful time telling the difference between the two, that living things need food water and air and non living things do not. This month’s theme is the dental theme, in which they will learn how to keep their teeth clean by brushing and flossing twice a day.

• The Dental Theme test will be taken  on March 22nd , 2012.

Islamic Studies: We have covered most of last month’s curriculum successfully Alhamdulillah. Note: Along with the homework, it is very important that you practice nazirah sabaq with your child every day to ensure that your child is progressing academically as well as Islamically. Here is a preview of what we will be covering this month Insha Allah:

Tajweed: Students will memorize Surah Al-Nasr.  Along with that, they will do the rules for: و م ن ل

• The Tajweed Test on Surah Al-Nasr will be taken on March 26th, 2012.
  
  AqaaidLast month, we did the First and second kalimah with English & Urdu Translation. This month we will do the third kalimah with Urdu and English translation.

• The Aqaaid Test on third kalima with translation  will be taken on March 27th, 2012.
• 
  Hadith:

  Last month, we were able to cover Hadith #’s 16. This month we will be doing Ahadith # 17.

The Hadith Test on Hadith# 17 will be taken on March 29th,2012.

Akhlaaq/ Adaab: In Akhlaaq Adaab, students were taught Lesson # 5, “What Will Make Me a Good Muslim”.  This month we will do Lesson#6, “My Speech”.

• The Akhlaaq Adaab Test on Lesson#6, “My Speech”, will be taken on March 28th, 2012.

Duas: Last month we only covered Dua#7, “Du’a for Entering the Home”. This month we will cover Dua#8, “Du’a for Eating as a Guest”.

• The Test on Dua# 8, “Du’a for Eating as a Guest”, will be taken on March 23rd, 2012.
